Dubai Museum was built back in 1787 and it was renovated during the reign of of the late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, opened in 1971 to be the official museum that displays the history of Dubai and it's original heritage. In 1995, another underground museum was established and added to the old fort.

Creekside is located in the heart of Old Dubai. It is a place to see the other side of Dubai back then. You can see a lot of shops of cloth, handmade bags/purses, traditional shoes (like the ones Carrie Bradshaw bought from Sex and The City 2) and some cafes with a view of the creek then hop on to Abra/Water taxi to cross Gold souq.

I would say it's a must to visit when you pass-by Dubai especially the ones who are currently living in Dubai. It's nice to know a little information of the country you are living. You'll see how much the country develops, their journey from 2,000 country men from around 200 different nationalities living and working here in Dubai. You will see the comparison between the old and the modern Dubai and with that efforts and modernization Dubai got it's own title.
