Photographs from Kaputian, Samal Island

Hot sun. Salty breeze. Sun kissed skin. Deep blue see.

Everybody loves a good beach, including ourselves. Four days after I arrived in General Santos, my friends and I went straight to our long planned barkada getaway. It was difficult to squeezed in the time since everybody has their jobs and other commitments so we took advantage of the long weekend (June 12-14). It was a little bit tiring since we are commuters from General Santos (bus), to Davao (taxi) and finally to Samal Island (boat). It was a bumpy and steeply road riding a motorcycle by two's, maybe 20 or 30 minutes or more was totally worth it. Its definitely a good beach for scuba diving and snorkeling

It's one of the remote areas in the Philippines where you can discover the hidden gems of nature.
